Frame within a Frame

This weeks challenge is to shoot photos with a 'frame within a frame.' Here are mine....

Trying to first explain to, and then convince a 5 year old to "make 2 'Ls' with his fingers" and then frame his face with them is a lesson in frustration and I don't recommend it...lol!!

In the van waiting for Daddy to take him fishing. Despite being told that DADDY is still in the SHOWER and has a least 2 more chores to do before going fishing...lol!!

At the Deer Farm, I tried to find some neat frame w/in a frame shots, most of them didn't come out as I wanted them too, I like this one though!

Challenge: Fill the frame

LOVE this challenge because it is the way I take photos anyway ;) I have been a 'fill the framer' ever since I started scrapbooking. I started with Creative Memories as a consultant and always taught people to crop out all the extra junk in a photo that detracts from the subject of said photo ;) As a result I started making sure my photos didn't have a lot of 'junk' to crop out.

Took these yesterday in a little photo shoot on the porch... LOVE how they came out. It is REALLY HARD to get a good picture of Jessi because when she knows there is a camera on her, she makes a REALLY weird smile and then gets all upset because she knows she 'can't smile' ...and it all goes downhill from there. So I read on Tara Whitneys site (I think that's where I read it), that the best pictures are taken IN BETWEEN posing shots.... she is so right!! It REALLY worked!!

Natural Light

Finally got my natural light pictures up. I did some when the challenge was first announced, but since this is the week we are SUPPOSED to be doing it.... here are some more :) I LOVED this challenge and the site Cherie put up for inspriation (link down below somewhere). Now I find myself constantly looking at where the sunlight is and how I can use it to my advantage!
